Nerve Centre - Overview
Nerve Centre is software that can calculate National Early Warning Scores which will intuitively alert individual clinical staff that urgent attention is required. It also has the option to cascade results to the specified care team. Staff can capture patient information using the clinical noting (handover) function which ensures that all clinical staff at the Trust have access to essential patient information at any point within the hospital.
In order to be issued with a Nerve Centre account you must review the online training for your role and then complete the assessment. The training has a written guide summarised by a video at the end of each guide; both are useful tools.
When you have finished reviewing the eLearning package, there is a mandatory assessment to complete. You will have 5 opportunities to successfully pass the assessment. Failing 5 times will automatically discount all further attempts and you will be required to arrange specific 1 on 1 training. The assessment result is sent to the accounts team who will issue your account (if successful) or will highlight the need for further training. It is highly recommended that you only attempt the assessment after you have finished the eLearning.
