For most health and care staff access will be gained through their own clinical system, using launch in context functionality. This means that from the persons record in their own clinical system they will be able to open the persons record in the Devon and Cornwall Care Record, without the need to separately log in.
For remaining users, access will be gained through a web portal using a username and password for the Devon and Cornwall Care Record.
