PAS Tracer System

The aims of the tracer system are to relieve the pressure on space in the Medical Libraries, to improve speed with which notes can be found and to minimise telephone calls. Also within the system is the ability to provide pulling lists.

Important rules to remember: - Appropriate codes ONLY are to be used

• A tracer must be meaningful.
• If in doubt ASK.
• If an incorrect tracer is created, please contact the Health Records Supervisor on the telephone number 0 1 8 7 2 2 5 4 5 0 6 to rectify the error.
