Allergy Information

It must be noted that information about allergies in care is critical. If there are concerns with the accuracy of allergy information available, please ensure professional judgement is used in its utilisation for providing care to the person.

Where to Find Allergy Information

Allergy information will be accessible in the Alerts & Risks folder menu within the Clinical Document Viewer (CDV).

When selected, the Alerts & Risks folder will present subfolders that hold allergy and adverse reaction data recorded in both primary (General Practice) and community settings.

Viewing Allergy Information

Clicking into an item listed under the Alerts & Risks folder will show the available information. This information might be presented differently depending on the organisation and system it originates from and will allergies and adverse reactions.

The below screen shot shows allergy information provided by General Practice.

Allergy data from community services is presented differently, as shown in the below screen shot.

Each community service the patient is registered with will present an allergy record, however there may be no allergy data recorded – if this is the case the user will be presented with the below screen shot.
