Introduction

This guide relates to the GP data held within the DCCR.

GP data is obtained from GP Connect, which is a national system that takes summary data from GP systems and makes this available to third-party applications such as the DCCR.

Most of the GP data can be found in the Clinical Document Viewer (CDV). The exception is Medicines which can also be viewed via the Medicines Viewer dashboard panel. There is a separate guide to the Medicines Viewer. There is also a separate over-arching guide to CDV.

There is no single menu item within the CDV for GP data, rather data is held within category sub-headings. Note that this is the default view, it is possible to reconfigure the CDV and sort information in a different way. This guide assumes that the default view (Group by Category) is used.

GP Connect data can be recognised by the link including the words GP Practice. The exception is the Summary, which is the GP summary but does not include the words GP Practice.
