PAS BEA - Return a patient to the BEA List

This option is used when a patient is admitted and discharged WITHOUT receiving the intended treatment and needs to be returned to the List. They MUST NOT have the T C I cancelled.

Select Return Patient to B E A list (HWRE), search for and select the patient and B E A event.

The next screen will display the T C I details. Type Ay and press return to accept.

Source of Deferral ,– Enter the relevant code. Press F 1 for Help.

Reason for Deferral ,– A free text field which must be completed with the relevant reason, e . g .

• Patient admitted but ate breakfast.
• Patient admitted but found to be unfit, ,– e . g . high blood pressure, unwell or other adverse medical problems.
• Patient admitted but still taking contraceptive pill/H R T/Warfarin.

Type Ay and press return to Accept. You will be returned to the B E A Menu.
